Shoo-foo stands for soft & comfortable: soft & comfortable for the baby - soft and comfortable for the planet. Shoo-foo's goal is to support reducing our footprint on the planet. We are committed to providing eco-friendly, and comfortable textile products for babies and their families. The Shoo-foo lifestyle was born out of my desire to create change.

Bamboo textiles make perfect sense because their production results in the lowest eco-footprint of all known textiles (Bamboo has even less of an environmental impact than organic cotton) and yet it is soft and comfortable.

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet. It requires no fertilizers, no pesticides and no water irrigation to grow. It can grow up to a meter a day and reaches maturity in 3-4 years.

Bamboo is a tropical grass and it spreads as quickly as conventional western grasses. Because of these growth characteristics and its intricate root systems, bamboo is known to reduce erosion. This consequently improves soil quality and reduces water pollution. And it doesn't need replanting!

Shoo-foo bamboo resources grow naturally in China. Bamboo is harvested and transformed into bamboo yarns and threads by local communities. In order to minimize our eco-foot print on the planet, Shoo-foo manufactures its products on site and ship the final products directly to the destination market. Shoo-foo bamboo products are organic, eco-friendly, biodegradable, fair traded and so soft.

Proceeds of the Mama Earth bags are donated to a local women and childrens' shelter. Feels like a win/win/win to me. Thanks for your help in making Mama Earth cared for as well as the mothers at the shelters.
