Hippy Grandma Treasure: Tie Dyed Baby Wear and Ribbons

“Colour and textile have been a big part of my life since I was a young child beginning with making and colouring my own doll clothes to dyeing wool with natural dyes and spinning, weaving and knitting it.

In the late 70's I began using procion fibre reactive dyes to dye silk for colour healing therapy. What happened next was quite miraculous as in the process of dyeing the silk, a whole other avenue opened up. The dyes and silk together produced amazing patternings and results. I was hooked! Using my sewing expertise from my youth, I began to produce garments and Dyelicious was born.

Over the years I became a serious fabric dyer, producing textiles for another growing obsession, quilting, I still love to quilt, but dyeing has definitely taken over my life and I enjoy it so much that I am now making it my life's work.
